Product description

Competition flat bench PRO, the IPF-spec bench press bench

The competition flat bench PRO is a flat weight bench designed for heavy bench pressing and powerlifting competition prep. A flat bench is a fixed bench with no incline, where stability and dimensions matter more than adjustments. This one meets the IPF rulebook dimensions: 43 cm high, 122 cm long, with a 30 cm wide pad (or 35 cm in the extra wide training version). It uses the pad of the UF Power Bench on a fully redesigned frame: uprights bolted onto laser-cut steel plates, a wider yet compact front foot on a flat base plate, a wide rear foot with rubber end caps and wheels.

Key features of this flat bench

  • IPF competition format. 43 cm high, 122 cm long, 30 cm wide pad. You train on competition dimensions.
  • Laser-cut steel plates. Bolted assembly on thick plates, the frame does not move under load.
  • Wider yet compact front foot. Wider than on the previous model for even more stability, but compact so it never gets in the way of your setup or leg drive.
  • Firm 10 cm pad. Dense foam and a textured non-slip cover, your back stays put during the setup.
  • Knurled handle and wheels. A firm grip, even with chalky hands, to lift the front of the flat bench and roll it.
  • Upright storage. The bench stands upright on the square support under the pad and frees up your home gym floor between sessions.
  • Rubber end caps. The rear foot does not slip or scratch the floor.
  • Textured black finish. Plates, hardware and frame in the same finish.

Competition flat bench dimensions: what the IPF rulebook says

The IPF (International Powerlifting Federation) technical rulebook requires a bench press bench at least 1.22 m long, 29 to 32 cm wide and 42 to 45 cm high, measured from the floor to the top of the pad. The 30 cm competition flat bench PRO meets all three. The 35 cm version keeps the same height and length with a pad wider than the standard: it is made for training broader lifters, not for replicating the meet.

Height 42 to 45 cm 43 cm 43 cm

Flat bench or incline bench, which one to choose?

A flat bench is the right choice if heavy bench pressing is your priority: no adjustment mechanism, so no play, a fixed competition height and a one-piece pad with no gap under the shoulder blades. An incline bench is more versatile for incline pressing, shoulders and dumbbell work, at the cost of stability and a height that are not those of a competition bench. Many powerlifters keep both: the flat bench for the competition lift, the adjustable bench for accessory work. To compare the whole range, see our weight benches.

Exercises to do on a flat bench

Exercise Muscles worked Goal
Bench press Chest, shoulders, triceps Build strength on the competition lift
Close grip bench press Triceps, chest Strengthen the lockout
Dumbbell press Chest, triceps, stabilisers Work on stability and symmetry
Dumbbell row Back, biceps Balance pushing and pulling
Hip thrust Glutes, hamstrings Build lower body power
Step ups and dips between two benches Quads, glutes, triceps Complete your session with no extra equipment

Why choose this competition flat bench?

  • A setup that does not move. Wide pad, flat front base plate and wide rear foot, the flat bench stays in place when you drive hard into the floor.
  • Competition format. 43 cm high and 30 cm wide, the IPF dimensions. The 35 cm version gives more shoulder support for broader lifters.
  • A frame built for heavy loads. 11-gauge steel, laser-cut plates and a 750 kg capacity, for intensive use in a powerlifting gym as well as at home.
  • A flat bench that moves and stores easily. Knurled handle, wheels and upright storage.
  • Made for the rack. It fits under a CS-1 power rack for safe bench pressing.

Competition flat bench PRO FAQ

What are the dimensions of the competition flat bench PRO?

122 cm long, 43 cm high, 30 or 35 cm wide pad, 10 cm thick. It weighs 34 kg.

Does this flat bench meet IPF standards?

Yes for the 30 cm version: 43 cm high (standard 42 to 45 cm), 30 cm wide (standard 29 to 32 cm), 122 cm long (minimum 1.22 m). The 35 cm version exceeds the regulation width and is intended for training.

How does it differ from the UF Power Bench?

Both share the wide pad, the 43 cm height and the 750 kg capacity. The PRO is the new premium model: a wider yet compact front foot, laser-cut plates, a knurled handle and upright storage support.

Should I choose a 30 cm or a 35 cm flat bench?

30 cm to train in meet conditions. 35 cm for more shoulder support, useful for broader lifters and heavy loads outside competition.

Is the pad firm enough for powerlifting?

Yes. The 10 cm dense foam gives firm support and the textured cover keeps your back from sliding during setup and arch.

What load does the competition flat bench PRO support?

750 kg, lifter and bar included, thanks to the 11-gauge steel and the bolted plate assembly.

Does the bench need assembly?

Simple assembly in a few minutes. The uprights bolt onto the plates, all hardware is included.

Can the flat bench be stored upright?

Yes. Lift it by the knurled handle, roll it on its rear wheels and it stands upright on the square support under the pad.

To go further, bench press, building an arch that holds under load.

Whether you are preparing for a meet or equipping your home gym, the competition flat bench PRO gives you a stable base, built to competition dimensions, that moves and stores in seconds.
