Calibrated plates that combine absolute precision and durability!

Our plates are built to last, with a weight tolerance of 10 g thanks to calibration weights.

Colours compliant with IPF standards, ideal for training and competition.

These calibrated plates are cast using the "sand mould" technique, which gives them a microporous surface that considerably increases the grip and durability of the epoxy coating.

The thin profile of the plates means the athlete is not limited by the sleeve length of the bar.

The centre hole diameter is ultra-precise, giving the plates unrivalled stability during lifts (deadlift and squat).

A 10 gram tolerance, and what it changes

A standard weight plate can deviate by several hundred grams from its stated weight. On a bar loaded with ten plates, the accumulated error becomes real, and so do your records.

These plates are calibrated to within 10 grams, checked against calibration weights. When you write 180 kg in your logbook, it is 180 kg. That is the baseline condition for tracking progress seriously.

An IPF colour code

Red for 25 kg, blue for 20, yellow for 15, green for 10, white for 5. The colours comply with IPF standards, the ones you will find on competition day.

The point goes beyond looks. You read a loaded bar at a glance, without counting, including when somebody else loaded it.

Sand cast iron

These plates are made of cast iron using the sand casting technique. The process gives a microporous surface the epoxy grips far better than it would on smooth steel.

The consequence is simple, the coating does not chip on the first knock and the plates keep their look after years of handling.

Thin plates, a sleeve that keeps up

A 25 kg plate here is only 27 mm thick. On a heavy deadlift, that is what decides whether your bar can still take plates or whether you are stopped by sleeve length.

The 450 mm diameter matches regulation bar height, the one you train on if you are preparing for competition.

Usage and safety tips

  • These plates are cast iron, not rubber. Do not drop them from overhead, use bumper plates for weightlifting.
  • Store the plates on a vertical rack rather than stacked on the floor, epoxy wears on contact.
  • Always use collars, the reduced thickness leaves more play on the sleeve.
  • Clean and dry the plates after use, cast iron remains sensitive to moisture at impact points.

Frequently asked questions

What does the 259 kg UF calibrated plate set include?

Six 25 kg plates and pairs of 20, 15, 10, 5, 2.5, 1.25, 0.5 and 0.25 kg, i.e. 259 kg in total.

What are the dimensions and colours of the plates?

25 kg red (450 mm, 27 mm), 20 kg blue (450 mm, 22.5 mm), 15 kg yellow (400 mm, 22 mm), 10 kg green (350 mm, 22 mm), 5 kg white (225 mm, 21.5 mm), 2.5 kg black (190 mm, 16 mm), 1.25 kg, 0.5 kg and 0.25 kg silver. Colours compliant with IPF standards.

How precise are the calibrated plates?

10 g, checked against calibration weights, whereas a standard plate can be off by several hundred grams. 180 kg written in your logbook are a real 180 kg.

How should these plates be maintained and used?

Do not drop them from height (use bumpers for weightlifting), store them on a vertical rack rather than stacked, always use collars because the low thickness leaves more play on the sleeve, and clean and dry them after use, as cast iron remains sensitive to moisture at impact points.

Is there a discount when buying the set with other products?

Yes, the powerlifting offer applies automatically to the cart in a single order: UF-Power bar at -€30 with free collars, Combo Rack at -€110, competition rack at -€180, deadlift platform at -10 %. Not combinable with the 5 % discount.
