A storage horn that does more than store
On paper it is a plate horn. In practice it is the most versatile part you can add to a CS-1 cage, because it mounts anywhere there is an upright hole.
Store your Olympic plates on it. Then a pair inserted into your safety bars becomes a pair of neutral grip pull-up handles. Inserted differently, they turn your safeties into a dip station. Mounted on your Jammer arms, they change the resistance curve.
Four functions, one part, and nothing to dismantle to move from one to the next.
Fast locking, no tools and no vibration
The weak point of classic storage horns is play. An accessory that rattles every time you load a plate ends up marking the upright and getting on your nerves.
Here the fast screw system works by hand, without a wrench. Once tightened, the part is locked and the play disappears. Mounting and removal take seconds, which is decisive on an accessory you move from one upright to another depending on the use.
Urethane coated steel
The horn is made of urethane coated steel. The urethane protects your plates from direct contact with steel, which matters especially on calibrated plates or bumper plates whose edges mark easily.
On handle uses, that same coating gives a firm grip where bare steel would be slippery.
Exercises and muscles worked
Beyond storage, a pair opens two movements most cages do not offer as standard. Neutral grip pull-ups (back, biceps), easier on the shoulders than a pronated grip. And dips (lower chest, triceps), once the horns are mounted on the safety bars.
Usage and safety tips
- Tighten the screw system fully before any use, especially in pull-up or dip configuration.
- On load bearing uses, fit two identical parts and check they are at the same level.
- Spread the plates between the sides of the cage so an unanchored rack is not unbalanced.
- Check the urethane coating and the tightness periodically.
