15 kg bumper plate: the versatile weight for intensive training
The 15 kg plate is an essential intermediate plate for building your working loads. Add one pair on each side of the bar and you get 30 kg of load, a common starting point for technical weightlifting movements (snatch, clean) or warm-up sets in strength training. In cross-training and HIIT, this 15 kg training plate takes repeated drops from hip or shoulder height without damaging the floor or the bar.
Each plate has a diameter of 450 mm meeting the IWF standard. The reinforced stainless steel insert ensures strong durability and prevents the insert from coming loose in the first few uses. High-density virgin rubber extends the life of the bumpers and guarantees minimal bounce and a neutral smell, unlike recycled rubber plates which bounce very high.

Training bumper vs competition bumper
Uni Strength black training bumpers are designed to offer the best value for money for regular use. Their thickness is deliberately greater than that of competition bumpers (60 mm against 42 mm for a 15 kg competition plate): this extra material limits the risk of bending and increases the life of the plate, even under intensive daily use. The weight tolerance is +/- 1%, which stays precise for training while allowing a more accessible price.
Which use is the 15 kg bumper for?
The 15 kg plate is a cornerstone of the training bumper range. In weightlifting, it is often the first plate added on each side to build base loads. In strength training, it is the intermediate step between the 10 and 20 kg plates, essential for progressive loading. In a home gym, its minimal bounce and neutral smell make it a particularly good fit for an indoor environment.
