CS-1 Monolift: the essential accessory for your CS-1 power rack

Optimise your power rack with the Monolift, the accessory designed for lifters focused on powerlifting and heavy loads.

Its purpose is simple: make unracking safe and preserve your maximum strength position.

On the bench press, you take the bar out without losing your scapular retraction or your leg drive. You stay braced, stable and perfectly positioned under the load.

On heavy squats, no more taking 2 or 3 steps back: you start directly in position, which improves bracing, stability and safety.

Sold as a pair, in a Monolift or Monolift Roller version, whose rollers let the bar slide so you can centre it before unracking.

Product description

Monolift for a weight rack

The CS-1 Monolift is a premium accessory for the CS-1 weight rack, designed specifically for powerlifting, strength sports and heavy training.

On a standard rack, unracking can:

  • Cost you tension

  • Disrupt your bracing

  • Use up energy before the very first rep

The monolift removes this weak point.

Powerlifting: optimise your bench press

In powerlifting, your bench press setup is decisive.
With a standard weight rack, taking the bar out can lead to:

  • A partial loss of scapular retraction

  • A weaker leg drive

  • Misaligned shoulders

The CS-1 Monolift lets you:

  • Unrack without bringing your shoulders forward

  • Keep maximum upper-back tension

  • Stay fully braced under the bar

Result: better force transfer and more stability under maximal loads.

Heavy squat: eliminate the walkout

On a strength-oriented weight rack, the heavy squat requires an energy-consuming walkout.

With the monolift:

  • No steps back

  • Immediately in position under the load

  • Bracing intact from the very first second

A decisive advantage for powerlifters and strength training athletes.

Designed for your CS-1 weight rack

The CS-1 Monolift integrates seamlessly with the CS-1 Power Rack range.

Key features:

  • Compact spring mechanism, no counterweight, about 8 kg per hook, 10 cm of travel

  • Hooks swing open automatically when you lift the bar

  • Fast return to position for a safe rerack

  • UHMW protection to preserve the knurling of your bars

  • Built for heavy loads and intensive use

  • Sold as a pair, one hook per upright

Spring or counterweight: why the CS-1 Monolift is more efficient

Faster. The spring brings the hooks back into position as soon as the bar leaves them. On a counterweight monolift, the weight tips the lever and the return is slower. With the CS-1, the path is clear as soon as you unrack and the hooks are ready for the rerack, even after a short set or a missed rep.

More travel. The hooks open by 10 cm. The bar passes with no risk of catching, whereas a counterweight lever only tilts by a few centimetres.

Lighter and more compact. About 8 kg per hook, with no weight or lever sticking out of the upright. You move the monolift from one hole to another in a few seconds to switch from squat to bench press.

Monolift or Monolift Roller?

Monolift Monolift Roller
Spring mechanism, hooks open by themselves ✓ ✓
UHMW protection of the knurling ✓ ✓
Rollers to slide the bar and centre it ✓
Best for Heavy squat and bench press, simple setup Lifters who want to centre the bar to the millimetre before every set

How to use it

  1. Set the height of the hooks on the uprights, just below your starting position.
  2. Place the bar. With the Roller version, slide it to centre it.
  3. Get under the bar and unrack. The hooks open by themselves and you start without stepping back.
  4. At the end of the set, the hooks are back in position for a safe rerack.

The monolift does not replace safeties

The monolift is used to unrack and rerack. To train alone safely, use it together with safeties set below your bottom position: safety straps, folding safeties or CS-1 barbell rest supports.

Frequently asked questions

What is the CS-1 Monolift for?

It makes unracking safer and preserves your strength position: on the bench press, you take the bar out without losing scapular retraction or leg drive; on a heavy squat, there is no need to take 2 or 3 steps back, you start directly in position.

How does the CS-1 Monolift work?

With a compact spring mechanism, lighter than a counterweight system: the hooks open automatically when you lift the bar and quickly return to position for a safe rerack.

Does the Monolift protect the bar?

Yes, UHMW protection preserves the knurling of your bars. It is built for heavy loads and intensive use.

Who is the Monolift for?

Powerlifters, strength athletes and anyone who trains heavy, for whom the walkout and a standard unrack use up energy and disrupt bracing.

Which rack does the Monolift fit?

The racks of the CS-1 Power Rack range.

What is the difference between the Monolift and the Monolift Roller?

The mechanism is the same. The Roller version has rollers that let you slide the bar sideways to centre it before unracking.

Is the monolift sold as a pair?

Yes, two hooks, one per upright.

Does the monolift replace safeties?

No, it is used to unrack and rerack. To train alone, use it with safeties, straps or barbell rest supports.

Why a spring monolift rather than a counterweight one?

The spring brings the hooks back into position faster than a counterweight, with 10 cm of travel. The monolift stays light, about 8 kg per hook, and compact, with no weighted lever sticking out of the rack.
